Students from Policy 4 attended the event, hosted by MoveLA, with surprise guests such as LA Mayoral Candidates, Eric Garcetti, Wendy Gruel, and Jan Perry. Even Congresswoman Maxine Waters of the 43rd District was on hand. The event introduced the Mayor's Transit Corridors Cabinet which brings together the heads of City Planning, Housing, DOT, Metro, and Public Works to coordinate strategies for transit oriented development.

Policy 2 Students attend Ad Hoc River Committee
Policy 2 students visited the Los Angeles River Center, home of the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, to hear a presentation by MRCA director Barbara Romero. After a short tour of the river near the confluence, students listened to river stakeholders regarding turning a stretch of the river into a recreation zone, also on hand was Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed Reyes, who's efforts lead the way to revitalize the river.
